Beach Volleyball has become a very popular sport at the Pacific Games led by the iconic Vanuatu Women’s team who have won every Beach Volleyball title since the 2011 Pacific Games in New Caledonia, including on home sand at the last Pacific Mini Games in Vanuatu in 2017. On the Men’s side, Fiji, Papua New Guinea, Tahiti, and most recently Australia (at the 2019 Pacific Games in Samoa) have all claimed gold over the past decade. As a compulsory sport in the main Pacific Games, Beach Volleyball normally attracts entries from around 15 of the 22 member countries.
